Dawn Starr Roam

Named in 2 guided books, from #100 Last Rites

Contains spoilers for the series.

Dawn Starr Roam is the name on a solitary grave marker that Remo Williams finds in the Sonoran Desert. Remo, a former Newark police officer recruited by CURE, instinctively recognizes the name as his mother’s. The next novel revisits her in a dream, while leaving open whether earlier appearances were a spirit, a ghost or a product of his memory.

Story

In the following novel, Remo dreams of his mother and knows her name, but the scene remains a dream. The narration recalls earlier appearances that urged him to seek his living father and showed him a vision of a cave; Remo himself does not know whether to understand these as a ghost, spirit or infant memory.
