Source notes
Contextual source review of the recurring Deke Bauer subject; book-specific observations and uncertainty remain separate.
destroyer-074:b74-deke-bauer: Same specifically named Vietnam major linked to Williams’s military past. Book57 shows Remo killing Bauer outside Vietnam; Book74’s later recollection reports that he died back in the world. This is supported continuity, not a contradiction created by an earlier living scene.
